Skins and theming¶
Nebula's look is a set of CSS custom properties. A skin is a JSON file that sets them. Nineteen skins ship, a merchant picks one under Stores › Configuration › Nebula › Nebula Admin Theme › Settings › Color Scheme, and any module can add another by dropping a file in view/adminhtml/nebula/skin/.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Create your own skin | The file, the sections, dark mode, and how to ship it in a module |
| Token reference | Every token with its default and where it is used |
| Branding and dark mode | Logo, wordmark, favicon, login screen text, and how dark mode is chosen |
| Skin gallery | Every shipped skin drawn from its JSON file, in light mode and in dark mode |
| A theme of your own | A child theme that declares <parent>Nebula/backend</parent>: chosen under Settings › Admin Theme, honoured by the resolver and the switcher, and where a project-built stylesheet lands |
A skin changes values; it never adds a rule. For a module's own CSS and the component classes the theme guarantees, see CSS and JavaScript in your module.
